IT Transformation ProgramThe Tasmanian Government is changing the way it delivers and manages information technology (IT) services to ensure they are cost-effective and efficient and to make sure that government can respond quickly to changing needs and new opportunities. The Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPAC) undertook intensive business planning and consultation with Tasmanian Government agencies during November and December 2009 to define the next steps and a program of IT transformation activities. This business planning has identified the need to build a strong sustainable business based on the strengths already within TMD, and prepare it to deliver new services as part of IT Transformation.
