IT Managers Group

The mission of the IT Managers Group is to influence the strategic direction of information and communications technologies (ICT) at a whole-of-government level, through the provision of considered and expert advice to the Agency Information Communication and Technology Reference Group (AICTRG) and those involved with ICT within the Tasmanian Government.

The objectives of the IT Managers Group are:

  • Provide strategic advice and recommendations to the AICTRG in relation to ICT from a whole-of-government level and agency perspective.
  • Pool knowledge, expertise and resources to improve ICT outcomes from a whole-of-government level and agency perspective.
  • Promote innovation in the use of ICT.
  • Promote the adoption of common practices and consistent approaches in ICT.
  • Act as reference and coordinating group for whole-of-government ICT projects.
