Introduction to project management workshops

The Inter Agency Policy and Projects Unit (IAPPU), Department of Premier and Cabinet, runs regular project management information workshops throughout the year.

These workshops aim to provide an introduction to:

  • the Tasmanian Government’s Project Management Framework
  • project management terminology and an overview of the phases in the life of a project
  • the 11 key elements that a project manager needs to consider no matter what the complexity or size of a project.

The workshops will:

  • guide you through the resources available on the Tasmanian Government’s eGovernment website
  • provide an opportunity to workshop a case study in groups using the Small Project Business Plan Template
  • outline the project management services offered to you by IAPPU.

Who will benefit the most?

People with no (or minimal) project management experience, e.g.:

  • new State Service employees
  • new project managers and team members
  • those people who wish to refresh or update their project management knowledge.
