Interoperability
The Interoperability Program is producing a collection of business, information, and technical standards and related guidelines to provide the capability for agencies to interoperate on a consistent basis.
We can work towards achieving commonality to assist with:
- Reducing the impact of changes associated with government restructures, including transferring applications, processes, information, and skills between agencies.
- Reducing the amount of effort and research for agencies selecting standards or guidelines
- Improving agility to integrate new services and respond to government changes.
- Transferring skills and knowledge effectively between agencies.
- Greater sharing of common services and commodities across government.
- Lowering the cost of engaging external service providers by adopting standards and related guidelines that are commonly used by industry and/or government.
